About NOCA
At NOCA, we understand that facing cancer is a journey that no one should navigate alone. That’s why we’ve brought together a coalition of non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families in Northeast Ohio. By uniting our efforts, we aim to create a powerful network of resources and assistance for those affected by cancer. Our collective strength is your strength, and together, we can make a difference.

Stewart’s Caring Place
Stewart’s Caring Place, a 501(c)(3) organization in Fairlawn, provides programs and services such as a wig & beauty room, food pantry, support groups, counseling and more to individuals and families impacted by cancer, at no cost, in over 36 counties in Ohio.

Stephen A. Comunale, Jr.
Family Cancer Foundation
The SAC Jr. Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals and their families in the greater Summit County area struggling with a cancer diagnosis to cover basic need costs such as mortage/rent, utilities, and gas and groceries.

Carson Higgins Memorial Foundation
The CarsonStrong Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that enhances the quality of life for children facing cancer and other life challenges by funding programs that provide therapeutic, medical, and educational opportunities.

The North Foundation
The North Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in memory of Greg North who passed away in April of 2020. Greg’s wife Dana recognized the huge impact having the support of family, friends and community had on her family and wanted to ensure that families in a similar situation never felt alone.

Not Just October
Not Just October, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, was created to expand the knowledge and resources available to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Through the promotion of education and community engagement, we hope to improve the awareness around breast cancer and its affect on families around the world.

Collin Cares
Collin Cares Cure Cancer, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was established in 2016 by Collin Kiousis, a remarkable individual who faced adversity with unwavering determination. Inspired by his own cancer journey, Collin envisioned a foundation that would offer support to others facing similar battles.

The L4 Project
Laura Allio’s life was cut short by cancer, but her husband is determined to be sure her legacy is not. Instead, he’s inspiring people in Akron and beyond through his mission, the L4 Project.

Whitt’s End
Whit’s End Community Place is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the provision of services and support for those impacted by cancer. The goal of its founders once envisioned is now becoming reality. Whit’s End will provide emotional support, practical education, and hope to all who are touched by cancer.

Fearless Fighters Foundation
Our foundation is dedicated to funding advanced pediatric cancer research as well as easing the financial strain of families facing pediatric cancer, and supplying those families with resources to help keep them connected and together. We are committed to finding new and targeted treatment options for childhood cancers and crushing cancer off the planet.

American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network advocates for evidence-based public policies to reduce the cancer burden for everyone. We engage our volunteers to make their voices heard by policymakers. We believe everyone should have a fair and just opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
